Assistant de recherche (Université de Sheffield)

The Department of French at the University of Sheffield will be
advertising a research assistantship in French cinema at the end of
August.

(Brief details as follows:
As part of a major project on modern French film stars, the
research assistant would spend a year compiling an electronic
bibliographical database of French film stars. This would involve
consulting online and print sources, and in particular the French,
British and American press, both film journals and popular
newspapers and magazines. Provision would be made for the
assistant to consult archives in London and Paris. The database
would be published on the web at the end of the project. Good
French and IT skills required. Salary approx £18k.)
