Call for International Day of Action 5th Dec. 2009. Worldwide action & Mass Rally in Vienna

All over the globe people are fighting against a continuous deterioration of education systems. Starting from Austria and Germany at the 23rd of Oct. 2009 a wave of protests, squats of university buildings, strikes, general assembles and other activities has swapped over to many other countries.

Nevertheless media and politics still do not regard the importance of this international movement. *That's why we want to put things right!

Next Saturday, the 5th of December 2009 will be the next International Day of Action. In Vienna we are planning a mass rally with participants from the whole country. In the other universities of Austria we will draw attention once again with smaller creative activities!

This call goes out to all of us! Students, Pupils, Teachers, Researchers! United we are strong! Education is not for sale!

Everyone can participate in this global campaign! *Public discussions,demonstrations, street theatre, protest songs, strikes, squats of public buildings, info campaigns, letters to th editors, flash mobs, window flags,sit-ins, etc.

What do you think about a joint flash mob, doing the same thing, at the same time, in all countries? We can coordinate such a joint action via Skype or Facebook and you can publish ideas and contacts through the international mailing group: international_students_movement@lists.riseup.net

We want to make videos and pictures of our activities accessible for all of us, that's why we as everybody to send Youtube (or any other video portal) links and reports through this mailing list:

Aufruf zum internationalen Aktionstag 5.12.2009 - Weltweite Aktionen & Grossdemonstration in Wien

Weltweit kämpfen Menschen gegen ein sich ständig verschlechterndes Bildungssystem. Ausgehend von Ã–sterreich und Deutschland hat sich seit 23. Oktober ein Flächenbrand an Universitätsbesetzungen, Demonstrationen, Streiks, Generalversammlungen und weiteren Aktionen entzündet. Trotzdem erhält diese internationale Bewegung noch nicht die ihr zustehende Aufmerksamkeit bei Medien und Politik. Dem wollen wir Abhilfe schaffen!

Kommenden Samstag, den 5. Dezember 2009 soll der nächste internationale Aktionstag stattfinden. In Wien ist eine Grossdemonstration geplant, zu der diesmal Studierende aus ganz Österreich anreisen werden. Auch in den übrigen
Unistädten Österreichs werden wir wieder mit kleineren kreativen Aktionen auf uns aufmerksam machen!

Dieser Aufruf geht uns an alle! Studierende, Schüler_innen, Lehrende,Forschende! Gemeinsam sind wir stark! Bildung ist keine Ware!

Jede und jeder kann zu unserem gemeinsamen Kampf beitragen! Öffentlichen Diskussionen, Demonstrationen, StraÃŸentheater, Protestsongs, Streiks, Besetzung von Öffentlichen Gebäuden, Informationskampagnen, Leserbriefen, Flash-mobs, Fensterfahnen, Sit-ins...

Wie wäre es, wenn wir einen gemeinsamen Flash-Mob veranstalten würden, zur gleichen Zeit, die gleiche Aktion, in allen LÃ¤ndern? So eine gemeinsame Aktion könnte wir über Skype oder Facebook koordinieren und die Ideen und Kontakte dazu über die internationale Mailingliste verbreiten:
