
The Department of French and Italian at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-stream/tenured position in 17th and/or 18th Century French Studies at open rank, with specialization(s) in any of the following: literature, culture, visual media, theory, politics, philosophy, anthropology, gender studies, pending budgetary approval.
The position will begin 9-1-09.
Candidates must have the Ph.D. by the time of appointment and either should have demonstrated outstanding research and teaching or have the potential to do so; ability to mentor MA and PhD students essential.
