Antithesis: boundaries, bodies and beliefs

Publié le par Thomas Parisot (Source : CFP)

antiTHESIS is Australia's longest-running interdisciplinary journal of contemporary theory, criticism and culture produced by postgraduates. We have extended the deadline for contributions on our current theme, 'Space: boundaries, bodies and beliefs,' for antiTHESIS vol 12, 2001. This issue seeks to scrutinise ways in which space is conceptualised, occupied, and used in both contemporary and historical contexts. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

· discursive and/or conceptual space
· strategies for occupying and appropriating space
· textual space
· historical constitution of space(s)
· relationship between discourses and their material sites
· bounded space and the construction of identity
· cyberspace
· Creative responses could include but are not limited to fiction, poetry, fictocriticism and visual essays.

Submissions must conform to the MLA style and be no more than 6 000 words in length. We require three hard copies of all submissions; a disk will be requested upon selection. The final deadline for papers is 30 June 2001.
